Stuff Toys and my Sister

These are stuff toys left by my sister when she went to Hong Kong. It's still in our room and is still taking space. I wanted to place them in a storage space so that I would be able to move freely but all storage spaces are currently occupied by my sister's clothes. In conclusion, it stays.

Leftmost Top: I gave that big pillow paw to my sister on Christmas 3 yrs ago. I can't think of other things to give her. Since it was cheap and looked liked of high quality plus its a safe gift to women, I bought it.
Rightmost: That pink stuff toy was sold at a discount for all the gifts that I bought. I purchased it and gave it to my sister on her birthday last last year. XD

Food and Fingers

Sometimes, when your eating, there are parts of the food that resemble something. Because I was bored, I decided to do something with the pork tail. Hek hek hek. The dish is Pork Sinigang.

Mini Project #2

Photographing a Firefly

This firefly stumbled in my room. I remembered reading something that fireflies don't live long. Also, since they don't come often inside the house and I was in the mood of taking photos, I took the chance of capturing it and placing it inside the vial. Here's the result!

Lizard VS Grasshopper

Saw this lizard trying to consume its grasshopper meal but it was too big. It was holding it in its mouth for some time. Eventually it got tired and let it go. The grasshopper managed to survive the ordeal.

Mini Project

Last year, I decided to start a mini project on how to preserve stuff.
I looked for resources on how to preserve flowers and leaves that will only have a minimal effect on the color of the objects. With enough effort, I found out that the best preservative is Silica Gel. The next problem was finding a retailer. Unfortunately, I can't find one that sells it in powdered form so I had to improvise. I bought it in pellet form and crushed it to powder. Upon further research, I found out that what I did was dangerous since the small particles can get into your lungs and have harmful effects. Nonetheless, I was able to produce something.

If I remember correctly, I tried preserving these flowers for 9 months more or less.
I gave these to Jesse before she left for SG.
